A Christmas Carol is coming to Spanish Fork

r A live performance of Charles Dickens “A Christmas Carol” is coming to the Angelus Theater in Spanish Fork. Under the direction of Mark Shipley, the cast is in rehearsal right now preparing for opening night. This production of “A Christmas Carol” will be the 25th time for Mark to direct this play so you could easily call him well qualified. The cast includes 18 local actors.

This is classic holiday entertainment for the entire family. Written in 1843, it is the story of a penny-pinching miser by the name of Ebenezer Scrooge who is visited by the ghost of a former business partner, the ghost of Christmas Past, the ghost of Christmas Present, and the ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. After these visits, Scrooge is transformed into a kinder, more caring person. This story is a Christmas tradition. In fact, the book has been in continuous print for 174 years. You should make seeing this play part of your family tradition.

The play “A Christmas Carol” opens at the Spanish Fork Angelus Theater, 125 North Main Street, on December 1 and runs every Friday, Saturday, and Monday, at 7:30 p.m. through December 23. Tickets are affordably priced, so families can enjoy this holiday event. Adult tickets will be priced at $8, students and seniors at $6, and on Monday evenings bring the whole family for $25.

This is a neat holiday program for our community and thank you, Mark Shipley, for putting this program together for us.
