Utah County Commissioners to Speak on the State of the County

Utah County Commissioners will present a State of the County update on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Utah Valley Convention Center, 220 West Center Street, Provo, Utah.

The presentation will include a brief review of the progress made in the past year as well as a look at the challenges and opportunities the county will face in 2017.  Annual awards will be presented to the Utah County Business of the Year and to an individual whose efforts and contributions to the county has made Utah County a better place to live.

Speaking of the past year and the opportunities in the future Commission Chairman Bill Lee said, “We’re appreciative of what was accomplished this past year by our incredible employees and our Utah County citizens.  We are even more excited as we view the upcoming year.  All of our Utah County departments have extensive and ambitious goals for 2017 to serve the approximately 590,000 people who call the county home.”

Many of the ten elected officials, in Utah County, will be in attendance providing the public a great opportunity to see them in one place, have a chance to meet them and understand exactly what their responsibilities are.
