Springville fire closes Main Street

Kids who stayed home for the long weekend had plenty to see in Springville, as the Brown House of Fine Arts Gallery, Studio at 274 S. Main Street in Springville caught fire just before noon, Thursday, for what turned into a fire involving several businesses, as all shared common walls and attic space.

It was a tough one to beat down, and fire crews from Salem, Payson, Spanish Fork, Mapleton, Springville and Provo were called out to assist. Utah County sheriff’s department officers were also there, as well as EMT’s from many cities. No injuries were reported as of 4:40 PM.
